Sue Rowling is a painter and printmaker. She trained at Winchester School of Art as a textile designer and worked for many years as a fabric designer before becoming involved with trend predictions and colour consultancy. It is the use of colour, tone and light that informs all her pieces.
She uses a blank silk screen which she paints through as her starting point. This imagery is then built up in multiple layers to create unique mono prints often with hand painting.
Sue's work has been purchased by the British Medical Association for their London Headquarters, St George's Hospital Tooting, Croydon University Hospital, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
